My favourite lake - Ösbysjön: review autumn 2013 by Lukas Hjortenfeldt (BIPSS student)

I chose this lake because when you go to this lake it’s quite big and has a wide open space to swim in.  This lake has two piers that you can sit or walk on. These piers are formed a bit like a U shape with two extra piers that extend from these points:

In the lake there are carp that sometimes swim underneath you when you stand on the pier.  The carp are around 15cm-20cm long with a big weird mouth.  There are about 20 carp in the lake which you are not allowed to feed or else they will get a bit too picky and may start to nibble you when you are in the water.

I like this lake because it has a wide open space to swim in and there are never that many people.  I also like this lake because there isn’t only sand to play with there are also stones which get a bit slippery where the water laps the stones.  The lake is down a road called Fafnervägen close to the train station called Bråvallavägen.
