1. renovate it again (it has been repaired once already and has had ongoing repairs over the years)
2. build a new building itself
3. rent out the space and permissions to a private company to build
If you've visited Mörbybadet recently, hopefully you'll have seen it clean and full of swimming lessons, playtime and parents sitting looking at their phones! However, if you looked closer, you might also have noticed that the building itself is not in good condition. It was built with problems and continues to suffer. It has massive damaged cause by damp and the insulation isn't insulating much at all. There were three options for the council: 1. renovate it again (it has been repaired once already and has had ongoing repairs over the years) 2. build a new building itself 3. rent out the space and permissions to a private company to build Towards the end of 2016, they decided to build a new pool and building. However, they recognise the need to repair the current pool building and kept open while the new pool is built. It isn't likely to be ready before 2020. The new pool looks likely to be built just south of Fribergaskolan, which is in Mörbyhjöden. Access is between the pertrol station 'Circle K' and the roundabout for Mörby Centrum, very close to where the pool is now.
