On 20th February ar 7.30pm, local group Poeter i Danderyd are celebrating poet Stig Dagerman at Danderydsgården, with guest poet Helge Skoog. There will also be an open mic session! Register by email (see website link below) and then read your own poetry on the night. Music will be playing and the cafe open. The event is free to attend. 'Poets in Danderyd are a group within Danderyds Konsthall. www.danderydskonsthall.se 
For those not experienced or who'd like to sing in a much more relaxed manner, Joyvoice is coming to Danderyd. You don't even need to be able to read music to join in! The 12-week term starts on the 15th September 2016 and rehearsals are at the Scout hut in Stocksund (see map below). Sign up at this link. Will you join up? Let us know below if you do!
Operapärlor are performing at Villa Pauli on Saturday 19th March 2016 at 6pm. The concert with 'gems from opera and romantic literature' is 2 hours long (including an interval) and will be performed by:
Emelie Bjurviken Lundh Susanna Reuter Erik Lundh and pianist Bengt-Åke Lundin. Tickets are 190kr and can be booked via [email protected] or 0768-802000. While hoping for good weather (crossing fingers, holding thumbs!), here is what is going on in Danderyd on Friday 19th June 2015. - Djursholm Slott's park 4.45pm - 6.30pm. The midsummer pole will be raised at 4.45 then plenty of dancing will follow.
