Today we checked out the Easter market at the 350-year-old Båtsmanstorp, a lovely tiny little cottage (torp) right by the north E18 junction for Djursholm and Enebyberg. The market was just two tables of lovely Easter things, so we bought a ceramic chicken and chatted with Berit Nordahl, who runs the cottage and who was in period costume.
The cottage itself is facinating, it has survived for so many years. It is remarkably similar to other Danderyd houses that are just 100-years-old. There were at least two couples having tea and cake in one of the two rooms and the other was set up for the market, with the stove fire roaring.
