Our wonderful little cafe on the waterfront in Djursholm has a new menu this year - with a focus on sushi. It is now open every day from 11am to 6pm and has plenty of drinks and snacks too. There are also fishing rods to borrow if you fancy your chances of catching something.

Midsummer in Kvarnparken Festivities start at 1pm and include things like chocolate wheels, archery, sweets fishing, a children's flag parade and with coffee available to buy. The midsummer pole will be raised and then dancing, games and a show by Danderyds Folkdanslag. Midsummer at Enebybergs gård Meet there at 9am to join in the dressing of the midsummer pole - bring flowers with you. The pole will be raised at 11am (with some help from anyone with strong arms) and the celebrations with dancing, games and a chance to buy refreshments starts at 1pm. Midsummer in Djursholms slottspark The last of the celebrations is at Djursholm town hall park (the park in front of the 'castle') The midsummer pole will be raised at 4.45pm and then dancing, games and a show by Danderyds Folkdanslag. This Saturday, you can go in and up Djursholm's water tower with a tour by Carl-Erik Eriksson, from Djursholms Forntid och Framtid.
Monica Frumerie, the chairman of Danderyd's archivre association, will explain (in Swedish) how Djursholm first got running water, when and how the tower was built...and then built higher to provide enough water for the local residents. Ulla Löwernhielm will show what is in the archives. Gunnela Mogensen from Stocksund's residents' association, Sällskapet Amorina, will talk about local architect Rudolf Enblom, who designed many of the houses in Djursholm and the top section of the water tower. Arranged by Sällskapet Amorina. Two things: Valborg is a night that teenagers tend to drink so if you have some, keep an eye on them. Secondly, remember Monday is a bank holiday so turn off your alarm clock. Our local interiors and fashion store Nordiska Hem is celebrating their 15th birthday with all sorts of goodies, including a vase for purchases over 200kr and 15% off everything in the store until 6th May 2017. The store is filled with new spring clothing, homewares and furniture. Expect a drink and something sweet if you pop in!

www.helheten-harmoni.se On 20th February ar 7.30pm, local group Poeter i Danderyd are celebrating poet Stig Dagerman at Danderydsgården, with guest poet Helge Skoog.
There will also be an open mic session! Register by email (see website link below) and then read your own poetry on the night. Music will be playing and the cafe open. The event is free to attend. 'Poets in Danderyd are a group within Danderyds Konsthall. www.danderydskonsthall.se
